Universal Instrument's cost effective feeder solutions provide reliable pick performance for components in tape, tube, matrix tray and bulk packaging. These feeders not only improve component presentation, but may decrease feeder inventory costs, reduce feeder replenishment and changeover time, increase feeder capacity, improve flexibility, and even improve tact time and throughput. Feeder options offer off-line feeder setup, calibration, storage and organization of idle feeders.

Continuous Splice Feeders

Universal and Hover Davis proudly offer a High Performance family of feeders compatible with High Speed Chip (HSC) and Multi-Function Universal Platform surface mount machines.

Machine Compatibility

Calibration and Setup Cart

Small chip placement demands machine and feeding systems that are properly maintained and calibrated. For performing tape feeder maintenance and calibration. Universal offers a precision calibration and setup cart.

Stackable Matrix Tray Feeder






Features:

• Single-input, compact tray feeder


• Feeds standard JEDEC and some vacuum form trays


• Moves up to 95.25mm (3.75"), 6.80kg (15.0 lbs) stack of matrix trays to pick position


• Trays are exchanged automatically to maximize production rates


• Two sizes, 6.1 Feeder and 8.3 Feeder











Stationary Matrix Tray Feeder






Features:

• Single-part number tray feeder


• Base for up to 177.8mm x 330.2mm (7" x 13") matrix trays


• Supports and secures the trays for pickup, requires no power


• Adjustable vertical tray height


• Three sizes: 152.44mm (6.0") standard JEDEC trays, 247.7mm (9.75") Developed for non-JEDEC and vacuumed formed trays, 330.2mm (13.0") Allows mounting of JEDEC trays at 90 degrees so all tray pockets are within placement head reach
